Work for NC Architecture’s 10,000sqft contemporary, luxury private home in Alderley Edge, called The Old Orchard, started on site in November 2017, with Garretts appointed as the Main Contractor for this 18 month build contract. The dwelling comprises five beds plus en-suites, a massive galleried hallway, housing a spectacular elliptical stairway, leading to the “heart” of the house, an open plan kitchen / breakfast / day room. At lower level, set into the slope of the site, will be a 15m long swimming pool with leisure suite. After gaining Planning Approval via a protracted application and appeal process, construction is well under way on this project and in these photographs, you can see the steels being put into place.
