Multiple Housing
Fairfield Road

Clients approached NC Architecture to appraise the potential of forming a four and five storey new build of accommodation, on this superb canal side frontage, out of the derelict former kitchen showrooms.

Tameside MBC are seeking housing stock and this site very much sits within their core strategy to help them achieve their five year supply.

Concept Feasibility

Following the canal side vernacular of mills and warehousing, the mix of two and three bed room flats works very well creating 100 units.

The formation of a T-shape helps to maximise the site, offering views to the canal side or courtyard as well as creating 12 townhouses that form a more traditional residential frontage to the main road.

Brick facings, timber and cladding all form a harmonious mood board for this high density scheme.
