Set back from the road along a sweeping driveway, Oak Lawn is a prestigious Wilmslow multiple housing re-development, combining 12 luxury period-style homes.
Approached through electrically operated wrought iron gates, Oak Lawn stands in an elevated position behind beautifully landscaped communal gardens.

Highlighting the polychromatic brickwork style that was so evocative of the Victorian era, saw the multi-brick banding and theme run around the built form, tying in the existing to the new.

The developer needed a minimum density applied to maximising his net saleable floor area, for this scheme to work financially.

The scheme started in 2009 as the last major recession hit and was a very bold statement by the developer, that this sort of ‘downsizing’ accommodation was much needed in this location, as larger properties became too expensive to maintain.

A challenge for us was complying with Building Regulations, whilst ensuring both horizontal and vertical services did not encroach other occupiers’ private space. Smart design solutions enabled us to successfully meet this challenge.
